APPOINTMENT OF NEW GOVERNORS
Union Government appointed five new Governors on September 1, 2019 as under:

Himachal Pradesh Governor Kalraj Mishra was transferred to Rajasthan and former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya was appointed in his place as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
– Kalraj Mishra will be replacing Kalyan Singh in Rajasthan.
– Former civil aviation minister Arif Mohammed Khan was appointed as the Governor of Kerala. Khan replaces former CJI P Sathasivam, whose five-year term came to an end.
– Senior BJP leader Bhagat Singh Koshyari was appointed as the new Governor of Maharashtra. Koshyari would be succeeding Vidya Sagar Rao, whose five-year term came to an end recently.
